Teaching & Learning
The Teaching and Learning Department of the Woodland Joint Unified School District provides support to teachers for curriculum and instruction, and all district and statewide assessments, including the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), the Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP), iReady, and the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC).
Teachers receive support through professional development and collaboration with the department's Teachers on Special Assignment (TOSA).
The department also manages Aeries, which is the District's Student Information System, and Illuminate, which is the District's Assessment and Data Platform. The department manages State and Federal Reporting, including reporting for the Office of Civil Rights and for the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS). At the local level, the department monitors and reports on activities under the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
